1. Lau Tha (Special Fish Hotpot)

Included in must-try food list in Phan Thiet is Lau Tha (or special fish hotpot). The reason for this recommendation is that the philosophy and essence of the Vietnamese culinary art are hidden behind the food’s flavor, which is based on five chief elements of the Buddhism: fire, wood, water, earth, and metal, and certainly you will be eager to uncover it. Lau tha is made of fish, shrimp, pork, vegetables, green mango, banana flowers, rice paper cake, rice noodles and fried eggs. Fish used for the hotpot varied; it may be gudgeon or spade-fish.The fish is mixed with lemon, shrimp and pork which are all sliced into small pieces and put into the soup. The fish sauce is flavored with fried peanut and chili, which gives the dish that snappy taste.

Dong’s meat is lightly tough but moist and it has a fresh flavor like chicken.

3. Quai vac cakes

Quai vac tran cakes have been a popular dish in the coastal city of Phan Thiet for as long as people there can remember. To make the cake, locals start with a transparent wheat-flour dough, which is then boiled and wrapped around deheaded prawns, fatty pork, fish sauce and salt and sugar.

4. King crab

King crab is considered the king of crabs. One of the places where king crab is highly appreciated is the waters of Phan Thiet. It is also very difficult to catch them. King crab is processed into dishes such as roasted tamarind, roasted with salt, grilled, cooked with porridge … but the most delicious and also the simplest is steamed and then dipped with salt and green pepper. The taste of crab meat is preserved intact, sweet and firm. In addition, salt-roasted king crab is also loved by many diners.

5. Fish cake soup

Banh Canh Cha Ca in Phan Thiet in general and Mui Ne in particular are different from Banh Canh in many places. Instead of transparent noodles, here, people use opaque white rice cakes like Hue beef noodles. The piece of fish cake is the soul of a simple bowl of banh chung, usually consisting of steamed fish cakes and fried fish cakes, with a strong sweet, spicy taste due to minced with fresh chili, when biting it will be a bit tough. The broth is simmered from a variety of fish caught fresh in the waters of Mui Ne.

6. Ca mai salad

Here is a dish best "Phan Thiet" and is extremely attractive fish salad ( Ca Mai) is sure not everyone was enjoying. Very fresh fish flakes had bought, cut off the tail and abdomen breast, spinal withdrawal re-done as the vinegar and squeeze it dry. But if only that they may not be good. By also an "additive" is important sauces. Phan Thiet fish sauce ( nước mắm) is the land should be used in salad fish sauce apricot and more sophisticated techniques. Garlic, chilli, seeded nine stab me with fine sugar. Pounding roasted peanuts, powdered gold, porcelain few ripe bananas, all the air with pure fish sauce into a viscous sauce sweet, sour, sweet, salty flavor and sea.Cs Mai salad need some fresh vegestables: lettuce, basil back, beating the fish, corn, cilantro girls with banana ( the one still can not eat like normal way when we eat banana), star fruit, thinly sliced cucumber.By this time the new thin rice paper to take effect: we packed fish, vegetables neatly into the roll, put sauce that enjoy the sweet taste of fresh fish, the fat of peanut, taste the sauce along with strong fresh taste of green vegetables.
